PPC Camp Form & Equipment List


PPC history : Founded in 1956( the first branch of USPC in Maine) by the families of Braley Gray, Sandra Johnson, and Sally Witham, located just down the road from the former Gray farm, now Puckerbrush Riding Center. We have 20 stalls, a tack/meeting room, and a large sand arena. We have access to nearby trails and cross country fields. Lendon and Marshall Gray rode and taught here, and PPC has hundreds of graduates, including several 'A' and 'B' level graduates - Sandy Porter Bean and Beth Ruksznis, just to drop a few names

Directions: From 95 South: Take exit 167(Etna-Dixmont); turn left onto Rt 143. Go approx. 4.6 miles to sharp corner - turn LEFT onto the Miles road, go approx 1.5 miles. PPC on the right.
From 95 North, take exit 167 (Etna-Dixmont); turn left onto Rt 143, then as above

Penobscot Pony Club Instructors :
Ann Moody is a graduate H/A from Meduxnekeag River Pony Club in Houlton, Maine. She had been instructing at PPC for many years, and now daughter Emma is a member as well. Ann balances her life as mother, middle school guidance counselor, PC mom and instructor. She lives in Newburgh with daughter Emma, son Elias, and a menagerie of horses, dogs and cats.
Jen Barton is a graduate B from Penobscot Pony Club, and also has been instructing for us for many years. She has been a working student for Bruce Davidson, Phyllis Dawson, and Rob Stevenson, and has evented to Preliminary level. She is a full-time special education teacher, and lives in Etna with dogs Gage and Moose
